Sounds like an interesting place. After Riley and his fiancée move to New Mexico later this year, we'll have to visit. We've been to Great Sand Dunes National Park and loved it.

I do love the open quiet spaces best. They are so peaceful. If you ever travel to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in Brazil I would love to read your description of it. It is white sands with clear cerulean pools in each valley.

Surviving at the extremes, strips existence down to such a binary clarity and fullness of life. My adventures have morphed over time ......Memories of the past bouy me when chaos reins....and changes my growing perception of life and meaning. I wonder who I would be without those paths I took....would I want to be that unrealized me? I find as time moves on that I'm more eager of the path ahead and where it ends :) in defiance of my luxury of doubt.
