Oh I have to admit a feeling of envy that you have this option. I'm living in a beautiful but hostile place, with a next door neighbor who built an enormous shed that blocks my sunlight and view of the mountains. People hate federal workers of which I was one until recently. I'm over it. But alas, I have to stick it out here and hope and work for change. When I gather up the energy to do so.

It was so good to read this. I was in my kitchen here in Iowa listening to a “live” of Bernie Sanders who is visiting the Midwest to bring awareness. For some reason again I thought “where is Jill?” because I hadn’t seen anything on social media for quite awhile. The ITI starts tomorrow and I even looked at the roster of walkers 😳. Then it dawned on me to check Substack!! Yay, you’re in Switzerland and having a peaceful and wonderful adventure.

If you get sent to a “farm” I’ll make sure to request the same farm.

I will check in with ITI from time to time to see how Lael is doing other than that I’ll not be following a tracker a few times per day. I’m so happy you both are enjoying winter conditions in a very peaceful place.

So, my Colorado son sold his house! He & his wife have put in notices to their work and will be relocating to Europe in June. This is getting real for me!!!

I hope you and Beat continue to find peace and joy daily! I hope you (especially) continue to have peace in your heart. My best wishes to you always!

PS . . . I find it interesting that I worry a bit and care for a young friend that I have never met.

Thank you, Linda. I appreciate you checking in. In November I decided to take a step back from social media, so I'm not "around" as much these days. Congrats to your son and daughter-in-law! That will be a grand new adventure.

As someone who is 75, I hope you go for it.

"Joy is not made to be a crumb"

Lovely.

That place sounds amazing! That photo of the view...wow. I would want to leap too.

Not something we can do, for myriad reasons, but it's nice to read about possibilities and it looks like you had a wonderful trip!

It looks lovely AND you can get chicken & waffles? Yeah, it's hard for the US to compete with that. No matter where you wind up, I'll be looking forward to your posts & pics.

A Frisco brewery in the French Alps? That's a little nuts 😂

Sounds like you've reached a mountain meadow in your journey of Neuroplasticity....walk a new life and land? Regret is a shadowy force in a world of no absolutes!?

I too would move if I was going to wake up and see those views in the last photo.
