Sorry you have to deal with the anxiety, and all the training injuries. But I'm glad you got to play the hero. And I am SOOOOO JEALOUS that you now have an awesome story to tell: I wrestled with a tornado and survived!

You got knocked over by a dust Devil. That is rad. That was some awesome description of that wind too. Kudos.

In hidden exhaustion (if no one looks at your bloody body,) you help a woman in need. Am I surprised? Not for you.

I've never heard of anyone being engulfed by a dust devil before. It being like wrestling with a ghost seems the perfect way to describe it. I cracked up at the hiker who turned around because of the wind, thinking you had done the same after your simple reply to his question. If only he knew... Nice that you were able to help that woman get through her fear.

Oh my goodness, Jill! I am always in awe of your training stats! Just a casual 122 mile week on rugged trails with tons of elevation gain. And crazy wind. Glad it was a good week! Your pictures make me miss Utah.

I can finally relate to being a Nome dot watcher for a partner. It’s utterly exhausting watching this wretched thing this year from home!! 🤣 Not sure how you do it year after year. One year is gonna do me in!
